Growers from the Mediterranean area sell into the Northern European market.
Bental BV was founded in April of the year 2003. The vision of the company (until 2010 in a Joint Venture with Carmexco BV) is, and was from day 1, to take care of sales and marketing for Mediterranean growers in the Netherlands and through the Netherlands throughout Northern Europe. The relationship between Bental and the growers is a very strong one, because specific attention is given to each grower and they are also provided with market information and the position of the products in the market.
Growers often know the end customer where their plants end up and Bental arranges visits from customers and potential customers to their nurseries. Bental BV has its storage and greenhouse building in Rijsenhout, 10 minutes drive from Royal FloraHolland Aalsmeer and 5 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The greenhouses are equipped with tables, watering systems and different areas where plants can be kept at different temperatures. This in order to keep plants good for longer periods of time.
Currently the Bental Team consists of three sales employees, a full team for execution and a team for administrative work. The experienced team, all working in the pot plant business for more than 10 years (most of which in Mediterranean plants), is engaged in day trading, from many different products per CC to full carts of the same product, as well as large promotions. Also delivers according to the growers' wishes to the clocks in Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk and Rhein Maas.
In 2017, Bental gives "Full Services" to 22 growers from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Israel with customers in the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia, France and the United Kingdom. The owners of Bental are BenBen Nursery, Eran Tal (Israel) and Ernst Keessen (Netherlands).
BenBen Nursery (Benzion Fold and Jacov ben Jacov) has 8 hectares of nurseries in southern Israel near Netiv Haasara. The main cultivation is P12 cm. Eran Tal comes from "Research (Northern R&D project) moving to production." Ernst comes from FloraHolland where he worked for 16 years in various positions.
