- Trendstyle Gentle Paradox
Gentle Paradox
Gentle Paradox is an exciting yet soothing trend that responds to worries, but also responds to possibilities. It tries to soften harsh realities with soft colours and round shapes. Core values such as dreamy, soft, infinite, light and friendly suit this trend. We would love to tell you about this trend and inspire you with images from our photoshoot.
Colours
The colours used are soft and exude tranquillity and harmony. There are soft neutrals and pastel shades, but also a warm cognac colour and two slightly more pronounced greens. These greens are mainly found in the flowers and plants.
Shapes
The shapes used are mainly round or rounded and often have a convex character. Many products have one compact shape with no loose details, such as extra legs or armrests. All parts appear to be attached to each other or blend smoothly.
Materials
Hard and soft materials are interspersed. Important hard materials are marble, concrete, ceramic, plastic, baked tiles and natural stone. These are combined with soft materials, such as high-pile carpets for floor and wall hangings and textiles in different variations, from pleated to bouclé. This contrast in materials makes it seem as if the soft materials are trying to soften the harsh reality. Flowers also help soften a space and make it dreamy.
Dessins
The designs used are varied, including romantic floral patterns and abstract patterns. What they have in common is that the colours are soft and gradient effects are used.
